3. There Will Be More New Characters
Flying off of the last entry, new fighters will be appearing in Mortal Kombat XI. The previous instalment featured 24 fighters in the base game, with eight of those being brand new characters.
That was a big step forward for the series, and we can expect it to continue in MKXI. Thanks to a rumoured leak, we know of two new fighters that will be coming to the series. One is Salina, a "Dream Goddess", who has psychic abilities and can make weapons out of thin air. The other new character is Dominic, Kano's son.
This one certainly seems likely because we actually saw Kano training his son in Mortal Kombat X, with rather cruel methods. It also makes sense because the series has started embracing the children of the classic characters, hence Cassie Cage.
The jury is still out on just how many new characters we can expect, whether it's a handful, or a slew of new ones like in MKX. Of course, we can expect more new fighters beyond the base game...
