2. Scorpion And Sub Zero Reconcile - Mortal Kombat X
Scorpion and Sub Zero are Mortal Kombat's most recognizable characters. The bitter rivalry between these two opposing clan members has been featured in numerous trailers and in other series iconography. Their mutual hatred stems from Scorpion's belief that Sub Zero played a part in his clan and family's deaths.
But Mortal Kombat X dealt with the altered timeline as the result of Mortal Kombat (2011) which led to changes in the present. This allowed the writers to change the status quo and one of them was the relationship between Scorpion and Sub Zero.
After finding out that his clan, the Lin Kuei, was ordered by Quan Chi to wipe out Scorpion's clan, Kuai Liang extends an olive branch to Hanzo Hasashi. He reveals to the former specter the truth and admits and shoulders his clan's atrocities. Realizing his sincerity, Scorpion accepts Sub Zero's offer and the two reconcile.
This scene was an important moment in the franchise as the two enemies had finally decided to bury the hatchet. Mortal Kombat 11 would expand on this with the two even working together and becoming good friends.
