The leader of the international crime syndicate known as the Black Dragon Clan, this Australian cyborg is a wanted man in thirty-seven countries.

Once seeming to be a loyal member of the special forces, Kano was actually a mole planted by the Black Dragon Clan, feeding them false information. Many soldiers died in operations based off this information, including Sonya Blade's partner who Kano personally killed.

Leading a prison break, Kano escaped to Outworld where he discovered an artifact that he hoped would increase his power. Chased there by Jackson Briggs, their battle left Kano disfigured and covering part of his face with a metal plate.

First appearing in the original Mortal Kombat, Kano was an opportunist always on the lookout for new ways to profit. Quick to sell out his own realm, he fought on the side of Outworld in this tournament.

However, when Liu Kang defeated Goro, he was forced to team with Johnny Cage and his hated enemy Sonya Blade to face the Shokan warrior. This led to his imprisonment by Shao Kahn in the second game.

Josh Lawson will be playing the role of Kano this time. Another past Home & Away alumni, his most well-known role to date is as Tate the pharmacist in Superstore.
