Mortal Kombat: Ranking Every Guest Character
2. Alien
Alien, perhaps more than most, didn't seem like an obvious fit for Mortal Kombat. The character isn't so much of a visceral combatant, as a sleuthing predator. That said, throwing down with the regular Mortal Kombat characters, as well as the dream matches available with the other DLC characters, and Alien quickly became a series favourite.
With its razor-sharp tail, acid saliva, baby-alien tongue, and superior body, Alien was more than a match for the other characters in Mortal Kombat X. While some of the other guest characters were rather slow and plodding, Alien was lightning-quick and added a real sense of fighting against a bug or monster.
As for the actual moves themselves, Alien used the tail pretty regularly in quick stabs, but it even utilised its cutting claws and teeth to rip at opponent's flesh. It's use of acid, whether from spit or its tail, Alien could inflict damage on enemies that slowly chipped away at their health bar. As if all that wasn't enough, the Alien could call in a drone attack and spawn eggs to hatch face-huggers.
Then, finish you off by feeding you to the Alien Queen. What a pleasant time.
