4. Make The Most Of The Passing Options
Passing has been given an overhaul in 2K16, allowing you to use specific passes in suitable situations. Mastering these can make your offensive game far trickier to stop, especially when it comes to fast breaks or quick exchanges around the paint. It's a good idea to familiarise yourself with the new setup. The X/A button is a standard chest pass - a safe, bread-and-butter option in most situations. The circle/B button throws a bounce pass when appropriate, while a double-tap results in a flashy pass, perfect for giving a dominant passage of play that extra sheen. Less pretty (but far more effective) is the use of triangle/Y; holding it sends a nearby teammate on a cut to the basket, after which the button can be released to execute the pass. Tapping the same button results in a lofted pass through the air, while double-tapping it in the right situation can see your players pull off a spectacular alley-oop.
