NBA 2K17: Bad And Ugly Contracts On Every NBA Team
3. Toronto Raptors
The Bad: DeMar DeRozan 4 years / $109.7M, DeMarre Carroll 3 years / $44.4M
The Ugly: None
Even though DeRozan enjoys one of the best season starts in NBA history, his contract is poisonous for the Raptors. Especially if you intend on bringing back Kyle Lowry.
The point guard will probably demand as much as DeRozan, as he is instrumental to his development. Plus, DeRozan is a slasher without a developed shot. He has a lot of potential, but can be used to acquire a more reliable shooter.
Carroll's contract is a little bit worse, because his limited skillset doesn't validate that kind of a deal. He's a good defender and rebounder, a perfect compliment to Terrence Ross, who can pretty much just shoot, BUT he must go if you intend on avoiding the luxury tax.
