NBA 2K19 MyGM: 30 Franchise-Saving Trades You Must Make
12. New Orleans Pelicans
Players Out (position, rating, contract value/length, age):
Nikola Mirotic (PF, 79, $12.5m/1, 27)
Players In (Atlanta Hawks):
Taurean Prince (SF, 78, $2.53m/1, 24)
Why:
There isn't much to be done with the Pelicans' roster, as while losing a player of DeMarcus Cousins' calibre was a blow, Julius Randle is a tremendous addition who fits the team's system well, while fellow newcomer Elfrid Payton is a more than capable replacement for Rajon Rondo.
Small forward is a clear weakness, with only Solomon Hill, Darius Miller, and Troy Williams on the books at the start of the season. In trading Mirotic for Prince, you'll be swapping an expendable holdover for a promising young player the Hawks would be daft to let go, but are quite willing to dispose of in game.
