Nintendo Switch: 10 Console Features It Desperately Needs

7. Data Options

An aspect of the first iteration of the Switch that sticks out like a sore thumb is the lack of data options.

Because the target audience of the Switch being mostly kids and Nintendo fans, perhaps Nintendo thought that detailed data options didn't need to be included for the Switch, which is absolutely not the case.

Currently, players only have the option to delete saved data from their system. Even the Wii U had the option to copy and transfer data to microSD cards, so the Switch really doesn't have any reason not to.

Giving players the option to make use of their save data however they want is a big deal for Nintendo. With the DMCA takedowns they've issued in the past few months, it's clear they prefer to have control over as many aspects of their product as possible, though this feature also needs to be fixed in order to incorporate the possibility of Wii U data making its way over.

Only allowing players to delete their own saved data is crazy; especially in this age of technology.
