Your system memory constantly full and you find yourself constantly making room? Yeah, we've all been there.

It's quite easy to fill up the Switch's memory, so Nintendo's recently announced ability to move data between your memory and an SD card should help free up some space at last.

In the words of the big N:

"Users can now transfer downloadable software, update data and DLC from the system memory to an SD card (and vice versa)."

In practice, this means you should be able to take downloaded games (which will likely take up the biggest chunk of your memory), store them on an SD card somewhere away from the Switch, then transfer them back if you want to play them again.

Nintendo has also stated that save data and some update data will not be able to be transferred.
