3. Our Moment - Persona 3: Dancing In Starlight
Another track from a music game spin-off, but unlike the previous entry, "Our Moment" was created from the ground up for the rhythm-action genre.
Just as well it's a complete banger then.
The song was clearly made with the disco scene in mind, and is all the better for it. A toe-tapping ode to school friendships, "Our Moment" is a celebration of hanging out with friends and partying to escape the stresses of high school.
The combination of disco and rap is surprisingly successful, with Lotus Juice (the Persona series go-to hip-hop artist) providing an energetic paean to the highs and lows of student life, while the chorus' starry-eyed cry of "The soul is unbound!" sums up the song nicely. It's daft as a brush, but so full of good cheer you can't help but be enamoured.
Speaking of that chorus, you may be wondering why the singer asks you to "Burn My Dread" in the middle of it.
Simple. It's a reference to the second best song in the series...
