Persona: 10 Best Songs From The Franchise So Far

2. Burn My Dread - Persona 3

As the first song to be played in the series breakthrough game, Persona 3, this will have been many gamers introduction to the weird and wonderful world of Persona. Thankfully, it makes one hell of a first impression.

This is a beautifully weird song. Whimsical electronica sounds like it would be a difficult sound to make, but they pulled it off here. The relaxed beats and the singer's blissed out vocals in the intro make this sound like it will be one of the most relaxing tracks in videogame history.

Then the chorus hits.

It shouldn't work, but it does. It really, really does. In the space of a few drum beats the mood changes from blissed out to spine-tinglingly intense as the singer roars in defiance at the "God of Fear". Whether you're listening to the song for the first time or the hundredth, this song is a great way to pump yourself up for the rest of the day and a phenomenal way to introduce the franchise.

But if "Burn My Dread" was designed to spark interest in the Persona games, the final track is what turned many of its listeners into life-long fans.
