Once an example of the curious Italian phenomenon of co-ownership, Berardi is now entirely a Sassuolo player (although Juventus have an option to buy him back, according to Tuttosport). It's highly likely that the Turin giants may wish to do so if Berardi continues to score at a similar rate, having already bagged 42 goals in 90 Seria A appearances. He is yet to make an international appearance for Italy, an oversight which will surely be corrected soon. Simply put, Berardi is a goalscorer, one with the confidence of a player with far more experience. Despite this, his preferred position is out on the wing, an area he may well have played himself out of thanks to his prolific form as a striker.
