PES 2019 Demo: 7 Instant Reactions You Need To Know
5. Quick Subs Have Come To PES
FIFA 19 has already lifted those secondary ("ghost") markers from PES, so maybe it was only fair that Konami nabbed something of their own from EA too. They've went above and beyond as well, and their implementation of the feature is streets ahead of FIFA's already.
Quick subs are now part of the PES package, allowing you to tweak things on the go without trawling through the game's (rather clunky and uninviting) menu interface. It's a nice touch, one that handily shows player stamina on screen and enables gamers to pick from everyone in the team, not just the pre-sets FIFA did.
One warning: subs can only be made one at a time, and there doesn't seem to be a way to line them up beforehand like FIFA has. The latter isn't a huge problem, but the first one is slightly annoying. It doesn't even make sense that Konami would limit things to one substitution per break in play.
At least it's a step in the right direction for a series that has always felt limited with on-screen customisation other than a trusty attack/defend bar and some pre-set tactical options.
