Pokémon GO: 10 Missing Gameplay Features We Want To See
7. Implementation Of The Apple Watch
The 'Pokemon Go Plus' is a small device made to help simplify the game experience; you can either wear or clip it on your clothing, and it will notify you of Pokemon in your vicinity, alongside nearby PokeStops.
In the original trailer, the device allows the wearer to mimic a throwing motion with a Pokéball, further increasing the real-life feel to the game - this function has yet to be added to the first-released version of the Plus, according to various comments online.
The Pokémon GO Plus connects to your phone via Bluetooth, but overall it should greatly improve battery-life of your phone while playing the game.
Why not adapt all of these same features to a device millions of people are already wearing on their wrists?
The Apple Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth and already can measure distance walked, vibrates for notifications, and has a gyro-sensor to pick up motions of the wrist (like throwing). A Pokemon GO app for the Apple Watch would surely make a lot of sense, but with Pokemon GO pairing with Google, it might make a partnership with Apple fairly complicated.
