To Sony's credit, they kept the reveal event focused on the mantra of "games, games, games," showing off more than 25 upcoming titles throughout the presentation.

After all, games are what will sell the console more than a sleek, appealing hardware design, and though the show was lacking in the jaw-droppingly gorgeous megatons fans were hoping for, at least there was still plenty here to be intrigued by.

The abundance of artful indie games proved especially compelling, hopefully suggesting that even if the PS5 launches with just one or two AAA games at retail, there will be a treasure trove of compelling experiences on PSN to keep the console from collecting dust.
