Rainbow Six: Siege - 8 Major Annoyances Every Player Knows

4. Diffuser Carrier Dying In The Wrong Place

Whomever is carrying the diffuser should not run blindly into a room full of enemies, die, and leave the rest of the team in a difficult position. If carrying the diffuser, players must carefully position themselves in the centre of the group.

They shouldn't march forward even if they have a shield. The diffuser is crucial to the mission and must be kept safe, ideally staying outside where defenders are unlikely to be lurking.

Other members of the team should remember to keep the carrier safe, and the carrier should not be left unprotected at any time, ideally with two attackers splitting off in one direction and the remaining two protecting the carrier.

Defenders will often focus more on one bomb than the other, with defenders typically staying at the more defensible of the two locations. This is normally good for attackers, who can then place the bomb at the site with fewer defenders.

Once the diffuser has been deployed, all attackers must focus on keeping the defenders away from the diffuser. This means using smoke bombs and flash bangs to blind incoming enemies. The diffuser should be placed at the most defensible position - it does not need to be deployed next to the bomb.
