5. Pokémon Let's Go! (Pikachu & Eevee)

One great thing that came out of a fairly laid back Summer was the return of Pokémon GO, joining No Man's Sky as "a once-hated 2016 game that now plays very damn well indeed."

To capitalise further on the app's reft of new features, Let's Go! is a full remake of Pokémon Yellow, replete with Pokémon GO connectivity, a free Mew, overhauled graphics and two versions, just to ensure no one 'catches 'em all' too quickly.

Other new features include riding Pokémon you've caught and catching them the same way as in the GO app: using motion controls to "flick" Pokéballs at the screen.

With any luck, Pokémon Let's Go! will succeed regardless of how much Pokémon GO feels like it's once again faded away, but with this being the glorious HD return to the Kanto region, practically everyone who was ever into Pokémon cannot wait.
