21. Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider (2017)

The Dishonored franchise wraps up plotlines left dangling after part 2's ending. The format sits somewhere between a standalone expansion and an official sequel, an angle that has an odd fit.

While fans into the lore will enjoy the wrap-up, gamers tend to be drawn to the franchise for its lengthy campaigns, a multitude of skill trees, and literally being able to approach a situation in any damn way they please. This condensed game compromises most of those appealing elements, especially with a short runtime and a limit of four main abilities.

While there's plenty of fun to have with given abilities, they soon grow old, and you'll only be able to upgrade your character with skill runes. While proceedings still bring fun experimentation, the incentive to explore isn't as strong.

While more Dishonored is never a bad thing and this will satisfy enough with its handful of strong set-pieces, this limited package (outside of the plot threads) feels a little unnecessary.
