Created in 2001 by Microsoft, this developer was fueled with the steadfast intention of taking Sony's championed Gran Turismo head-on and to fill the awkward racing car-sized gap in the Xbox user base.
Unfathomably, it managed to do just that, as the devs successfully established the Forza Motorsport franchise, launching first on the original Xbox, and only going from strength to strength ever since.
Then came the Forza Horizon off-shoot (which they co-developed with Playground Games) that expanded the series into a fun open-world, arcade-like experience. That spin-off has even managed to become arguably superior to Motorsport over the years - with Turn-10 getting less of the credit in that equation.
