Morinth is such a widely unpopular squadmate that it seemed not worth even putting her on this list. If it matters, she’d be 26th. Even behind Jacob.

But one of the reasons she’s so unpopular is because to get her you have to be truly despicable, and that’s part of what makes Samara (and her loyalty mission) so compelling. Samara is an Asari Justicar, essentially an Asari SAS. She’s stoic and contemplative, but can offer a calming presence amongst all the larger than life characters.

Her skillset and nature make her crucial to the Normandy’s success in ME2, but like all the other crew members, her loyalty must be earned. She wants you to help hunt her daughter Morinth, an Ardat-Yakshi. Basically a sex vampire serial killer. During the mission’s climax, you get the choice to help Samara in her mission to stop this killer, or save Morinth and murder the noble Samara, purely because the sex vampire flirted with you. She’s promised not to kill you, so maybe it’s worth a shot? Thankfully, most side with Samara.

You actually can have sex with Morinth afterwards if you save her, but of course she kills you. Natural selection in action.
