Ranking Every PlayStation Classic Game From Worst To Best
15. Jumping Flash!
If Sony had teased that their Classic would contain an underrated, cartoony 3D platformer where you play as an animated rabbit, a lot of fans would have been going looney for Bugs Bunny: Lost In Time. Jumping Flash, while perhaps not as fondly remembered as the Bugs' outing, was arguably better though.
What's not up for debate is the influence this game had. It seemed to peak quickly; almost universally acclaimed upon release then swept away in the tidal wave of platformers that the original PlayStation offered. While some fans might feel a little disappointed that iconic characters Crash and Spyro can't be found here, they owe a lot of their existence Jumping Flash.
It is officially recognised as gaming's first platformer in 'true 3D', and while it does have flaws, those are a lot more forgivable if you consider them bullets it took so bandicoots and dragons could run more smoothly.
The first-person perspective feels like it doesn't make the most of its groundbreaking 3D though, as it hampers your connection to the character. But if you view the PlayStation Classic as playing through gaming history, Jumping Flash is a reason to be excited.
