Ranking Every PlayStation Classic Game From Worst To Best

13. Wild Arms

Arguably the best of the games clearly on the PlayStation Classic for the Japanese market, Wild Arms is an RPG set in the Wild West, and aims to give players the full cowboy experience. There's no other games like that around these days, right? Right?

Joking aside, there's no point comparing this to Red Dead Redemption. There are very few games on the planet that would come out of that duel with any dignity. On the original PlayStation though, there weren't many titles that were set in the Old West, so Wild Arms was a genuine standout. There are ones on this list that were more critically and commercially acclaimed, but few with a setting as unique.

The graphics are a little primitive by today's standards, but the switch from 2D to 3D between world exploration and battle sections squeezed the most out of the console's capabilities. And while Wild Arms itself wasn't hugely revolutionary, it was one of the PlayStation's earliest RPGs. These are far more common now, but a lot of players will want to get back to the early days of this popular genre.
