Ranking October 2016's Video Games From Worst To Best
4. Titanfall 2
There's a certain other shooter I've ranked higher on this list, but Titanfall 2 has quickly become the critic's choice if you scour the reviews online.
Building on the original's idea of having your own custom mech at your beck and call, this sequel alters the frequency and effectiveness of them in battle, fleshing out individual unit abilities and forcing you to come up with all sorts of makeshift tactics on the fly. It doesn't hurt that it looks stunning too, or that developers Respawn have added some Spider-Man-style swinging mechanics to get you up in the air whenever you feel like it.
The campaign may be solid (and over in a flash) but having a multiplayer that feels phenomenal whether you're gunning down infantry or soaring through the skies and dismantling an enemy's Titan before fighting the ejected pilot in mid air, Titanfall 2 is the best feeling shooter there's been in years.
