Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Ways Rockstar MUST Do Single Player DLC
6. Charles’ Story
Charles was one of the most noble and stoic members of the gang, always seeing reason rather than following his emotions like the rest of them. He’s the closest kindred spirit to Arthur in that regard, and it’s no accident that he gets increased focus in the epilogue.
However, a little more focus certainly wouldn’t go amiss. Through his connection to the Native American tribes and his greater appreciation for nature, Charles offers us a somewhat unique perspective.
A hugely popular character amongst players, the chance to actually play as Charles would be a massive treat as a DLC. Charles is already in the game with appropriate animations, his story could intertwine with Arthur’s and wouldn’t require a new setting. Everything is there for it to work.
The Native American storyline crashed into Arthur’s as it was reaching its apex, but through Charles we like see it much more thoroughly. Though everyone in the gang is given fair treatment, the wider world would certainly treat someone of Charles’ caste very differently.
With a sequel inevitable (though a long way off), Charles may yet get more spotlight. He’s not the only character whose chance may come later either...
