Red Dead Redemption 2 Gameplay Reveal: 6 Ups & 2 Downs
3. The Open World Looks Stunningly Diverse
The gameplay also provides fans with a more comprehensive look at the varied environments players will find themselves traversing throughout the game.
From snowy mountaintops to sun-bleached deserts, it's looking like RDR2 will be decidedly more geographically diverse than its predecessor.
More to the point, by taking place during a major transitional period for the Old West - when industrialisation effectively killed the age of the outlaw - players will be able to visit both rustic livestock towns and more cutting-edge cities with the latest and greatest in technology.
The narration promises a similarly diverse cast of characters to fill out these locales, and while we don't yet have official confirmation of the game's map size, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if this was Rockstar's biggest undertaking yet.
The small slice we've been shown here looks like an all-timer video game world, that's for sure.
