With every part of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar have made it clear that they're trying to distance themselves from "gameified" features and instead root everything in the logic of the world. They've mentioned previously that the same is going to be true of fast travel, a feature which they've historically kept away from.

While there's a lot of charm in having to go from A to B yourself - and it certainly makes you familiar with the environment - RDR 2's map is set to be their biggest yet, and it makes sense that they'd include some kind of easy way to get around. Though not confirmed, some eagle-eyed viewers have pointed out that this could be accomplished via the overnight "second sleeper" sections of the trains featured in the trailer.

This would entirely be inline with Rockstar's previous comments on how they wanted to integrate fast travel seamlessly into the world, without having players simply click an icon on the map.
