On a checklist of important qualities for a remake to have, attention to detail is one area requiring a big fat tick, especially so when courting the all-important early impressions. Whether Leon and Claire will begin their tale of survival in the exact same alleyway remains unknown, but its dingily-lit confines will be present in-game.

In fact, a quick shot of its largely unremarkable features crops up in one trailer, and there's one key component to be picked out that tells us Capcom's deeply committed to making sure even the smallest details are present and accounted for.

Aruka's, the very same storefront present at the original Resi 2's outset, remains in place for the remake. It's a minute detail that all but the most scrutinous fans would overlook, were it absent, but it's there, itself a reference to the Ryu-loving Sakura from Capcom's own Street Fighter series.

It's the little things, you know?
