5. Skepticism - Be Careful Who You Trust
While networking has become ingrained into the cultures of many humans - and could serve a good purpose - it may ultimately prove to be your downfall if you're not careful who you give your trust to. We've seen it happen more than enough to know that betrayal is rooted deep into the heart of some human beings. In the very first game Albert Wesker is the ultimate deceiver; Leon Kennedy is subsequently betrayed by Ada Wong - more than once - while William Birkin is taken over by the G Virus and attempts to impregnate his young daughter under its influence. It would prove remarkably valuable for anyone to build a strong network of even stronger peers. There would be absolutely no way to destroy the Umbrella Corporation without one. You surely couldn't do it all by yourself.
Our Tip Keep your friends close but don't go handing out all of your secrets to just anyone. Trust has to be built and unlike Facebook you cannot just add everyone you browse upon into your network of accomplices. You should also be skeptical of, well, just about everything. Remember, the Umbrella Corporation was an enormously popular and highly praised pharmaceutical company. Yet they funded research for dangerous viral weapons that turned living beings into flesh-hungry monstrosities.
Side Note Be wary of everything you're told be it by the government, church, or whatever else. Never believe something just because someone important says it's true. Be a rebel! And crucially, investigate.
