Spider-Man 2 PS4: 10 Villains We Need To See
2. Green Goblin
One of the biggest surprises of Spider-Man PS4 was not seeing Norman Osborn don the iconic Green Goblin suit and glider. While the illustrious billionaire definitely showed signs of embracing his crazed alter-ego, it seems he lacked the motivation needed to fully embrace his villainous role. That was, however, until the end-credit teaser.
Bathed in a sickly green glow, Norman promises a comatose Harry Osborn that he'll do "whatever it takes" to save him from death. Take this with the numerous elements of Green Goblin's arsenal that can be found when Mary-Jane investigates his tower and it seems likely that the Goblin will finally take flight in a sequel.
From a suspicious-looking helmet programmed with advanced military protocols (and UI featuring an ominous-looking glider) to prototypes for the villain's notorious pumpkin grenades, everything's set up for Norman to step into his cackling persona come Spider-Man's next adventure.
Of course, this won't be the Green Goblin we've come to know in the comics. His quest to save his dying son looks to makes him a desperate enemy with layered motivations, his anarchic comic persona replaced by a determined father who won't let Spider-Man stand in his way. An arc in which Norman and Peter clash both as themselves and their masked alter-egos would be a fantastic direction for this sequel's narrative, especially with another villain spicing things up...
