Spider-Man 2 PS4: 10 Villains We Need To See
1. Venom
Easily the most interesting thread heading into a sequel is the mysterious fate of Harry Osborn. Initially believed to be away in Europe, a major twist occurs when Spider-Man discovers that Harry is undergoing an experimental medical treatment after inheriting a deadly disease from his mother.
What we eventually learn in an after-credits stinger, however, is that Harry is not off in some far away laboratory. He's in Oscorp. Worse yet, his 'experimental medical treatment' bears an uncanny resemblance to the Venom symbiote.
Although this hints at a host of huge potential plotlines for the sequel, the major news is we're getting Venom. Not just any Venom either; a Harry Osborn Venom that harbours a friendship with Peter Parker and has access to all the resources of Oscorp tower.
If Venom makes it into the sequel, he will easily be the most deadly foe Spider-Man has faced yet in Insomniac's universe, especially as Peter has such a close bond with the man behind the monster. The pair's strong friendship will make their battle all the more intriguing, especially as the game's sure to present the challenges of the duo's relationship away from their alter-egos as well.
One thing's for sure, Venom's exactly the kind of monstrous villain this new universe needs and is sure to shatter Spider-Man's world come the inevitable follow-up.
