Star Wars: Battlefront 2 - Ranking EVERY Hero & Villain From Worst To Best
1. Anakin Skywalker
ANAKIN SKYWALKER’S ABILITIES
- Passionate Strike: Anakin unleashes a heavy strike, breaking his opponent's guard and dealing high damage.
- Heroic Might: Anakin is more resistant to attack while holding the ability. When released, he pushes enemies away from him, the range and strength of his attack being multiplied by the damage he would typically be susceptible to.
- Pull Dominance: Anakin pulls enemies in front of him to a center point, leaving them open for attacks.
- Retribution: Anakin’s powers intensify whenever he and any nearby allies are attacked, building towards the ultimate punishment of a swift and inescapable grip seizing all enemies around him.
Anakin Skywalker. The Chosen One. As soon as he was announced as coming to the game, everybody expected him to be overpowered - he's the most powerful Jedi since Masters Yoda and Windu, he shouldn't be anything less than Godlike.
Passionate Strike is possibly the most unique of Anakin's abilities, allowing him to break the block of his enemies - most useful against foes with high stamina, such as Vader or Grievous, as it allows you to work around their defence and unleash Anakin's powerful saber strikes.
Heroic Might is effectively a rehash of Luke's Repulse ability, except it has a charge-up time; during which, Anakin takes less damage. If anything, Heroic Might is actually less effective than Luke's version, for the reasons Obi-Wan's push is less effective than Luke's, too.
Pull Dominance is exactly the same as Kylo Ren's Pull ability, and can be used to the same extent - even pulling enemies from ledges, off the map, if you desire.
Retribution is, and I don't say this lightly, beautiful. Before Anakin was announced as a light-side hero, there was speculation as to whether he'd be placed on the side of the villains. Retribution highlights Anakin's darkness, and destroys any enemies around him.
Anakin's health is average for a hero, though his stamina is limited - this leaves him open to all attacks when his block has failed. His increased speed helps him to cover ground, but he can be defeated by groups of enemies, providing his abilities are not ready to be used.
