8. Playable Darth Maul & Yoda

Onto new playable heroes and villains, and the first wave are Yoda and Darth Maul. They're seen duelling inside Theed; Maul's choice of venue from the close of Episode I.

Obviously, in the movies these two characters never crossed paths, so instead this footage is most likely indicating that 1. Both characters are now included, and 2. Theed is a multiplayer map, where a Hero/Villain duel could take place regardless of whether any characters actually encountered each other.

Such an ethos has been prevalent across all the Battlefront games, existing as an excuse for fans to mash together their favourite characters no matter the plausibility.

That said, here's hoping DICE have found some way for Yoda to look and feel natural when duelling opponents three-times his size. Every past Star Wars game has failed to make either playing as or fighting him fun, simply because his hit-boxes are so different than every other character, minus the likes of a droid.
