Star Wars Battlefront 2 Trailer: 12 Details, Secrets & Speculations You Need To Know

5. Timed Exclusive To PlayStation?

Based purely off the fact this was scheduled for Star Wars Celebration and not during any brand-specific media panel, why does the leaked trailer open with a PlayStation logo? This sort of thing is definitely common, just to say to a consumer "Hey, you're about to see a game-related thing", but it's worth taking into account when you consider two things.

1. Microsoft and the Xbox One continue to flounder. Sales have been on the uptick since the Xbox One S was revealed, but make no mistake, as of January the PS4 had outsold Xbox One two-to-one, meaning that's one hell of a marketshare to placate with exclusivity - something Sony would no doubt pony up the cash to secure, considering Star Wars' size as a franchise. It's also not the first time we've seen PlayStation-exclusive Battlefront content either, with the two 'X-Wing VR' experiences for PS VR both only being on PS4 in 2016.

2. The trailer ends with (obviously) a plug for DLC, reconfirming that despite all the fan-requested features being implemented, EA are still EA. To that end, they've backed a number of high-profile titles with downloadable content over time, and considering the PlayStation branding the trailer has overall, it's a reach, but this might mean a number of DLC items or characters are tied to Sony hardware.
