Having added Banjo and Kazooie to its ranks this past September, could Crash Bandicoot be the latest name to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? If online scuttlebutt is to believed, then yes he will.

Twitter user MandyCan has a strong history of leaking Super Smash Bros. news, and it’s here that this story has originated.

MandyCan actually first posted about Crash’s impending Smash Bros. arrival back in October, with the user backing up their claims over the past few days.

Given MandyCan’s accuracy over previous similar stories, there’s certainly a sense of credibility to all of this – especially considering that this source leaked the addition of Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ Byleth to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate a whole two months before it was made official by Nintendo.

Added to that, MandyCan again proved their reliability by predicting ahead of time just when and where Byleth would be revealed as joining the Smash Bros. party.

Ultimately, we won’t know for certain whether Crash Bandicoot will be a part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate until Crash Bandicoot is actually officially announced for the Switch game. But if MandyCan’s previous leaks are any sort of indicator, it looks like Crash could be joining the fray not too long after Byleth is released as a playable character on January 28th.
