Telltale's Guardians Of The Galaxy Episode 1 Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

3. The Mediocre Voice Acting

One of the most damning aspects of the game is the utterly workmanlike voice acting across the board. Not a single vocal performance stands out as especially great or even really good, and they're all just passably mediocre at best, doing acceptable but uninspired impressions of their movie equivalents for a quick payday.

Given that this isn't based on the MCU, it's a shame that Telltale didn't hire the voice actors from the Disney XD animated TV series instead. What we've got here just feels low-effort and, worst of all, totally forgettable, and this naturally has a significant impact on the dialogue, which actually isn't too bad half the time, yet the anonymous delivery often kills it.
