The Elder Scrolls 6: 9 Fan Theories That Must Come True

8. Hammerfell Or High Rock Will Be The Setting

Although Bethesda didn't reveal where The Elder Scrolls VI is actually set, they did gives fans an establishing shot of a part of Tamriel for them to pick apart. Consequently, players have been able to narrow it down to two potential locations: Hammerfell or High Rock.

The former seems the most likely candidate though, with multiple clues in the trailer relating to different parts of The Elder Scrolls lore. Immediately apparent is the huge crater to the left, perhaps referring to a magical blast that took a chunk out of the Redguards' homeland during the Great War.

Although the race has been largely unimportant to the plot of the past few releases, the Redguards do have a long and interesting history in Tamriel, and catching up with them in the aftermath of the war would make for a setting unlike anything else in the series.
