The Elder Scrolls VI: 10 Crucial Things Fans Need To See

5. The Combat System Still Needs An Overhaul

When Skyrim first released, its new combat system was said to be a significant improvement over that of Oblivion and the other entries so far. Mapping theplayer's hands toseparate triggers madeduel-wielding or even shielding mechanics feel much more honed then ever before.

As time has worn on, however, people have become retrospectively more critical of the system. The suggestions are that it's ultimately too easy to fudge it and hack your way aimlessly out of sticky situations, and that it wasn't dynamic enough to deal with aerial threats without inducing Blair Witch-style shakiness.

Bethesda are known to take fan feedback on board and actively request it. After Fallout 4 presented players with a an improved system that was built with a slightly updated version of Skyrim's engine, it's time for an overhaul to roll in for TES too.
