5. Dodging Melee Attacks
Among the many new glorious additions to the gameplay we saw was something that is surely going to make combat more intense then ever. I speak of course of Ellie's ability to dodge attacks thrown at her.
It seems that the geniuses at Naughty Dog recognised that melee played a vital role in surviving combat in the first game, not to mention that it was deliciously brutal, and have truly expanded upon it.
It goes without saying that the ability to duck and swerve from all kinds of brutal objects the enemies will swing at Ellie will be a handy one.
It's nice to see that Neil Druckmann's remark that some of the gameplay features are an "evolution" from the first game is indeed true.
