The Last Of Us 3: 10 Ways Sony Could Continue The Story
5. Abby and Owen's Journey to Seattle
In Part II, we are given a fair amount of backstory for Abby. Not only do we play as the character while she was a teenager with her father in Salt Lake City, but we also see the evolution of her relationship with Owen in Seattle.
It is clear that after the dissolution of the Fireflies in Utah, many of the young recruits fled to Washington State. That also explains how Nora ended up with the WLF, but Salt Lake City to Seattle is still an 800 mile plus journey, and one which in the apocalypse would be riddled with grave obstacles and countless infected.
To further add weight behind Abby’s backstory, as well as providing more of a significance to Owen’s character, an interquel could be a good route to take. However, Abby has been such a divisive character, it seems unlikely Sony would wager that much into a single game of the popular series.
