The Last Of Us Review: 10 Reactions To This Truly Awesome Game

4. Multiplayer That Actually Matters

The Last Of Us Multiplayer is shoehorned into practically every big game nowadays, and rarely is it actually any good, usually just a way to try and give the game some more value that nobody really asked for in the first place. Naughty Dog, however, give it a better go than most, as they proved with the rather enjoyable multiplayer offerings on their Uncharted games, and again as they prove here. It's not the deepest or most involving mode out there, but it's a fun diversion from the single-player, with Supply Raid involving a desperate dash around the map for goodies, while Survivors is a round-based elimination game. Both are a lot of fun, in large part due to the vast maps you're able to traverse. Though most attention is understandably going to go towards the exemplary single-player, this is a rare multiplayer mode nowadays that doesn't feel particularly tacked on and is actually likely to have you coming back for more time and time again.
