2. It's Better Than Uncharted

Quite the claim to make, I know, given that the latter two Uncharted games in particular are pretty much the zenith of action adventure games, like an Indiana Jones movie adapted perfectly to the video game medium. That said, the Uncharted games are relatively flippant with violence and almost completely hollow from an emotional perspective - aside from making us laugh, of course - whereas The Last of Us is a game that manages to have its spectacle and make us feel something about it too. This isn't to say that The Last of Us is a better game than the Uncharted franchise because it's more sombre and moody, but simply because it engages more on a humanistic level. This isn't to say that every game
should do this, but given how Uncharted has Nathan Drake committing murder on an almost genocidal scale throughout the games, there's a weightless lack of consequence about all the death; Naughty Dog have remedied this for their latest game. Above all else, Naughty Dog just make it clear that they're one of the best - if not
the best - developers working today.
