The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake - 10 Things We Can't Wait To See

8. Epic Boss Battles

The Link’s Awakening remake employs a cartoony art style recalls Windwaker and A Link Between World’s but still brings a fresh take on things. It might be a bit cutesy for some but I'd prefer the word “adorable”. Grezzo have given the game a look that fits a modern HD console but still feels faithful to the original. There are still butterflies fluttering about and the trees retain their stacked and layered look.

No doubt the game’s graphical overhaul will add extra atmosphere to the various dungeons and make the boss battles even more epic as well.

In fact it’s those boss battles in particular we can’t wait to see. The game’s final boss, Nightmare, transforms itself five times, forcing Link to defeat each of its six forms using different weapons.

That made for a pretty impressive finale even on the Game Boy, but those transformations are going to look even more nightmarish in shiny HD graphics on the Switch.
