When games are remade, people immediately think, it will be the same, but with graphics to bring it up to date with current times. Even if that was all the developers were doing fans of the Tony Hawk series would be happy.

The original game's graphics were ok at the time, but it was not a series known for its impressive visuals. They improved as the games went on, but it wasn't a huge deal-breaker.

Thankfully, the trailer shows off the full glorious 4k game that they have been able to create. It also shows off plenty of in game action which we don't always get in trailers in this industry.

Textures that were simply not possible when the first game came out in 1999 are here and it looks brilliant. Comparing the two side by side gives you the best indication of the improvements, but Vicarious Visions appear to have nailed the graphics.
