8 Dumb Video Games That Made You Feel Like A GENIUS

6. Among Us

Among Us didn't just go viral in 2020 because it was the social multiplayer game we all needed at that precise moment - it was also because of the hilarious incongruity of releasing a sci-fi social deduction game centered around... cartoonish beans.

It was a resoundingly unserious take on the party game Mafia/Werewolf, and while the central mini-game tasks are mind-numbingly basic, this is really just a prelude to the real, clever meat of the game.

That's the social deduction element, where you either try to deduce the Impostors or, as an Impostor, avoid detection while wiping the Crewmates out.

Players who can successfully root out Impostors might have an unnatural knack for rooting out lies, while those who regularly manipulate their way to success as an Impostor may be just a little too good at lying.

But the dopamine-infused thrill of succeeding in either role speaks for itself, and when it happens enough you just might think yourself either a human lie detector or a literal sociopath.
