8 Epic Video Game Moments That Were TOO EASY
6. Alduin - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's final battle is of course against Alduin the World-Eater - the massive dragon who is prophesised to destroy the world.
Considering the absolute fresh hell we see Alduin wreak right at the start of the game, and that he's literally called Alduin the World-Eater, it's a reasonable assumption that this boss fight is going to put players through the damn wringer.
Except, despite how brilliantly the game builds him up to be a near-literal force of nature, Alduin isn't really any more difficult than the other dragons encountered throughout the game.
As the only living mortal who knows the Dragonrend shout, you're able to ground Alduin with it, then allowing you to attack him for a time. After rinsing and repeating this, he'll eventually go down for the count. That's it.
It's tough not to shrug your shoulders at the ludonarrative dissonance of it all - this literal world-eater having the intelligence and self-preservation instinct of a particularly stupid gnat.
