8 Epic Video Game Moments That Were TOO EASY
5. House Beneviento - Resident Evil Village
The House Beneviento section in Resident Evil Village is in many respects a masterful exercise in suspense and unease - a sublimely creepy haunted house riff that crams a whole ton of insanity into its brief length.
You'll have a few creepy puzzles to juggle, find yourself hiding from a deformed fetus-like creature, and finally play a deadly game of hide and seek with a possessed doll.
Though this sequence is certainly fantastically designed from an atmosphere perspective, it's also the easiest section in the entire game - a more-or-less on-rails affair where deaths are few and far between.
And the lack of challenge does rather make House Beneviento feel like a slog on repeat playthroughs, because once the novelty of its scare factor has worn off and you know what to do, you're basically just going through the tired motions.
At least if the various puzzles and bosses had some level of mechanical difficulty, it might not be quite such a chore to revisit.
