8 Secret Video Game Endings You Needed A Guide For
3. Ending E - Drakengard
Yoko Taro sure loves to troll his fans, especially where endings are concerned, and in order to unlock Drakengard's fifth and final ending - known as Ending E - you'll need to get all four prior endings and then collect all 65 of the game's weapons.
Getting the four endings is plenty time-consuming in of itself, but trying to get all the weapons without a guide will shave years off your life.
Many of the weapons have ludicrously specific and totally un-signposted requirements, like killing 1,250 enemies in a given area, performing actions within a certain time limit, and in a few especially bulls**t instances, just hanging around for 15-20 minutes until a chest materialises.
The conditions are so vague and unmotivated that there's basically no possibility of pulling it off without a guide, which is presumably the point - if you listen closely enough, some say you can hear Taro laughing at you while playing.
Even with a guide this ending will take hours and hours and hours to unlock, and while it results in one hell of a wild rhythm game final boss fight, even completionists might struggle to slog their way through the collectathon to get there.
