8 Villains Who Made Good On Their Second Chance
1. Johnny Sasaki - Metal Gear Solid
And of course, how could anyone else be #1 but Metal Gear Solid's Johnny Sasaki?
Johnny was introduced in the original Metal Gear Solid as one of the Genome Soldiers working for Liquid Snake, and though fundamentally working for the Bad Guys, Hideo Kojima largely depicted him as a comic relief character.
Between being knocked unconscious and stripped by Meryl and suffering through crippling-yet-hilarious bouts of intestinal discomfort, Johnny was a memorable minor character in the first game - a villain in any technical sense, even if he hardly ever seemed like much of a threat.
Johnny returned in Metal Gear Solid 2, this time taking part in the takeover of the Big Shell, and once again getting caught short with bowel issues.
But by Metal Gear Solid 4, Johnny had finally given in and switched sides, now working as a member of Meryl's Rat Patrol Team 01 and ultimately playing a pivotal part in helping Solid Snake foil Liquid Ocelot.
Better yet, he even ended up marrying Meryl - one hell of a turnaround from his status as laughable lackey in the first two games.
