Now you have some models, the rules and a bit of experience playing the game it is time to lure your friends to the hobby.

Nothing bonds friends together like a financially and time-consuming hobby such as Warhammer 40,000. However, you don’t want to scare them off with too much excitement at first.

Don’t go straight for the hard sell. Start mentioning that you’ve been having loads of fun lately painting up these models ready to play this awesome game. Most likely they’ll call you a nerd for having a new hobby in the typical fashion that friends do… But the seed is planted.

Next time you are with them mention the game and how much fun you had. Maybe drop a hint about a faction you think they’d like or maybe a titbit of lore that’ll tantalise their sensibilities.

Soon they will be yours. Soon they will have a pile of unopened Warhammer boxes and an angry life partner cursing your name. But they will be yours!
