Warhammer 40K: Which Chaos Faction Should You Pick?

6. World Eaters XII Legion

Few amongst a galaxy of horrors can claim to be the Blood God’s favoured champions. The sons of Angron have chosen the Red Path of Khorne and carry out slaughter in his name.

“Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!” is their battle cry as they launch themselves forward against their foes, heedless of numbers or tactics.

Although their gene-father Angron has ascended to Daemonhood to fight in the Pantheon’s Great Game, their greatest warrior Khárn the Betrayer still remains to lead his brothers against the Imperium.

Positives of playstyle

Khorne Berserkers are available as troops for the World Eaters. Utterly savage close combat specialists that can turn anything in the game into a fine paste.

You get access to the greatest champion of Khorne on the tabletop, Khárn the Betrayer.

For two command points you can turn a squad of Chaos Terminators into Red Butchers. Everything dies when they guys fall on them because they are Berserkers in terminator armour!

Negatives of playstyle

For a close combat army, they lack any unique delivery methods to get them into melee range. It can lead to needing a tonne of troop transports to try and keep them alive.

No psykers. Khorne is not fond of sorcery as it is a coward’s game. You don’t have a lot of denial options for your opponent’s psychic powers, so a psychic heavy army can delete you without much resistance.
